What to Expect

Whether it’s your first time dropping a dog off for their holiday, or you’re a pro at this and it’s now second nature, we hope to give you full clarity on how it all works and what you can expect!

It’s all starts by pressing the ‘Enquire’ Button…

… I know, simple right? But yes, it really is that simple. 

It doesn’t matter if you are looking for dog boarding, doggy daycare, a pop-in visit or someone to walk your dog… it all starts with the enquiry form. 

Fill out the form with as much detail as you can muster (there is never too much detail!) and submit it to us. 

From there my phone will *bing* and we strive to reply to you within 1 business day (most the time far sooner!). 

We cannot promise we will have availability, that being said we will do all we can to help make sure your pawfect companion gets the holiday they deserve!

We will then touch base with you

We always reach out by email in the first instance just so you have all the information you need written down somewhere safe!

If we have availability we will let you know, and ask you to join our Client Portal where we can grab all the details we need to fulfil our licencing agreement (Yes, sorry, there are forms to fill in!) and we will then agree a date for a Meet & Greet (You’ll learn more about this shortly).

If we do not have availability we will do what we can to help point you in another direction – we hate turning dogs away, so we do love to help where we can… even if we don’t get to meet them! 

Your Meet & Greet

It’s time to layer in the reassurance and help take any doubt out of your mind.

A Meet & Greet is where you come and pay us a visit before your pup is due to come and stay with us. This is a super powerful tool that will tell us all everything we need to know.

Firstly, it allows you to meet us and judge if you would trust us with your dog. If you do not feel comfortable – that is no drama, we can part ways happy with no ill feeling – it is an essential requirement that you are comfortable!

Secondly, it allows your dog to explore our home, and take in all the sniffs and smells we have to offer. This has two main benefits; first you will get to see if your dog is comfortable here and second, it then means when your dog is dropped off here for their holiday that they recognise where they are – we find it helps them settle far quicker!

Thirdly, it allows us to meet your dog and start building some trust – and for us to make sure we are happy with them and their temperament.

Finally, it gives us all an opportunity to ask any burning questions we may have and get everything squared away.

Getting Booked In

As soon as you made your enquiry, and if we are free, we pencil your dates in the diary to make sure they stay reserved – this means that while you wait for your Meet & Greet you won’t lose your booking. 

If after the Meet & Greet we are all happy to go ahead then we will enter the booking into the Client Portal and email you a copy of the invoice. 

The Invoice is due at minimum the day before your dogs stay with us. We do ask for a minimum of a 10% deposit to secure your booking (which is non-refundable) once the invoice is sent to you. 

In the client portal, you will see how much of the invoice is left to pay, as well as options on how to pay it. 

During the time before your dog’s holiday, we will check we have all the information we need to ensure they have the best stay possible – so we may be in touch if we need more! 

The Holiday

Now for the fun part, the Holiday! 

We will have pre-arranged a drop-off time for you to come over with your pup and their suitcase of stuff! 

Here’s a glimpse of some of the things we will need you to bring;

  • The dog (no one has forgotten theirs yet!)
  • Proof of vaccinations & details of flea/worm treatments – IF you haven’t uploaded them into the client portal
  • Enough food for your dogs stay
  • They favourite toys
  • A bed
  • Anything that you think will make their stay more comfortable

Once you have said goodbye and headed off, we then take your pooch out for a stroll around the neighbourhood. This, we have found, helps them settle far quicker and helps us build the relationship quicker too. 

We will send you Pupdates and Pictures throughout their stay with us.
