We are BIG gamers in this house.

I don’t mean we love to fire up the PS5 and spend all night glued to the TV (we don’t have a PS5 – but I am open to donations!).

We love to game the old-fashioned way…

…with a board game, at a table, and a nice big cup of coffee!

My wonderful mother-in-law added a new game to our collection on my birthday this year that we ended up playing a lot in the last 3 weeks.

Disney Villianous.

It’s a challenging game, and despite being a Disney game I wouldn’t say it is one for kids – the rules are a bit much! It requires strategy, thought, awareness of what the other players are doing, and understanding their targets as well as yours.

There are a lot of moving parts! You could say it’s a form of brain training, it does really make you think… but man, it is a LOT of fun!

(If you like games, I do recommend it – check it out here: https://amzn.to/3RIuqrL)

Odd tangent for a Dog Boarding company?

Not really, you see Dogs also need mental stimulation as part of their day. While they can’t pull up a chair and become player 3 in Disney Villianous, they can play other games which will not only tire them out but also help them progress with their behaviour.

Here’s a few options;

Obedience Training & learning new obedience skills

Treat hide and seek

Human hide and seek

Food puzzles (Inc Kongs)

Obstacle courses/Agility

Scent work

The Shell Game

Playing with your pooch will also help build that stronger bond between you and your dog. We strive to play with your dog (on top of its daily walks) as often as we can…

…after all, your dog is on holiday and holidays are meant to be fun!
